Beginning January 2012, CPR etc will offer a new and exciting option for CPR and AED training in the Bay Area.  Our 'Easy CPR' program is a ONE HOUR class offering CPR, Heimlich/Choking, and AED training.  We provide certified, courteous, professional trainers and come to your office, workplace, or home.  The cost is only $25 per person, with a minimum of 6 participants.

Novato man honored for saving infant's life with CPR

One day after finishing CPR training at work, Frank Antonio Sr. heard panicked banging on the door of his Novato home at 1:30 in the morning. It was a neighbor with a lifeless baby boy in her arms.

"I had no idea that the CPR training would come in handy so soon," Antonio said, "but it was like second nature."

Hard, fast and don’t stop. Sound like your last shift? Actually, this is the current recommendation for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), leaning toward the cardio part, at least initially. Providing rapid (at least 100 per minute) compressions hard enough to depress the chest two inches while allowing full chest recoil on the rebound increases survival.

Law Requires New Buildings to Have Defibrillators

Large new buildings, including stores, churches, hotels, restaurants, schools and theaters, will be required to have heart-starting medical devices known as AEDs, or Automatic External Defibrillators, on site under a new law passed Tuesday by the San Diego City Council.  Read more...

Device saves teacher after a heart attack
